[Baking] Oreo Cheesecake

I have been baking oreo cheesecake/cupcake lately and have some friends who asked me for the recipe. So I thought of making a YouTube video for a better reference ;)
It's my first video ever and Oreo Cheesecake is the 2nd type of cake/cupcake I've ever baked in my life. LOL. So I hope I won't receive any harsh comment T-T
Personally, I think that the flaw of my first cheesecake was that I put too little oreo crust, and the second one was that I put a little too much butter and left the cake in the freezer for over 2 hours /: heh. But whatever since my boyf says that it's nice xD hahaha.
Alright, let's just continue to the recipe and procedure on baking the cake.

Things you will need for the bottom crust

I actually thought of putting 20 Oreo but am afraid that the cake will turn out too sweet. So 18 should be fine. You can put 20 or more if you prefer more crust but 18 is the right amount for me ;)

Pour the Oreo cookies into a bag and crush them! You might want to pour the cookies into a blender, it's a lot faster and easier xD I have not bought a blender yet, that's why I'm using the crushing method xD

Pour the cookies back into the big bowl and mix in the butter. I actually put 2 tablespoon of butter but it was way too much >< 1.5 tablespoon will be just fine, you wouldn't want an oily base ><
Put in the right amount of butter for the cookies to 'stick' together. When I first made the Oreo Cheesecake, I think I put too little butter and the bottom crust kept falling off when you try to eat them.
When done, pour crust into a cake mould, I think I'm using the 8 inch one(can't remember xD) and spread them evenly around the base.

Set your oven to 180C or 350F, put in your cake mould and let it bake for 5 minutes.
When it is done, you can set aside to let it cool and continue on with the batter.

Things you will need for batter :

Was too nervous that I forgot my Vanilla Extract. Haha!

Pour 350 grams of cream cheese and 1/4 cups of sugar into your mixing bowl and use the hand mixer to beat. I used more than 350 grams of cream cheese coz I have a number of leftovers in the freezer :x
The original recipe actually stated that we should include 1/2 cups of sugar. But I think the bottom crust will be sweet enough because of the Oreo filling, and that's why I reduced the sugar to 1/4 cups xD

When done, add in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 2 eggs, then beat again till it is well blended.
Set aside.

Remove Oreo filling and break 6 Oreo cookies into chunk, into the batter. Then gently fold in the batter to mix the cookie chunks xD

Pour the batter into the cake mould and tap the mould onto the table to remove air bubbles.

When you're done, set your oven to 170C or 325F and bake for 15 minutes!

When it's done, set to cool for 10-15 minutes and put it into the freezer for about 1-2 hours.
The cake is super soft after you take it out of the oven, so be really careful coz I broke the cake. You can't really see from the picture. Hahahahaha xD

And tadahhhh! Cake is ready to be served after 2 hours.
My cake turns out a little hard because I left the cake in the freezer overnight. But it still taste good, just that it breaks very easily when I cut it. Should have cut the cake 2 hours after baking /:

It's my forth time baking Oreo Cheese cake but I think, all you need is practice. My first try wasn't that bad, second try I failed, because I added chocolate in it. But my friends told me they taste great. Not sure if it's true or not. Hahahaha. Third try was awesome but too little bottom crust /: and yep. This is the forth time. Not that perfect yet but I hope I can do a perfect Oreo Cheesecake the next time! :D
